Crystal Myers… The Lunchbox and her vision
Crystal Myers the sole owner of the Lunchbox in Clendenin, WV has had a vision of the food establishment she has always wanted to own and operate. One that not only would feed the community she knows and loves but help them in their time of need as well. Crystal knew that after the flood of June 2016 that pretty much wiped out the town she needed to do something to help them in the best way she knows how. And since the food service was in her blood this was the best way she knew to help. Crystal who is the owner of Town & Country Papers also lost everything in her office on main street Clendenin therefore she knew how hard it was and just had to , as she says “ to pull up her boot strings and move forward and help this community” the best way she knew how.
Crystal and her family spent countless hours cleaning and preparing to make sure this building was marvelous for opening day. She spent many hours reading and rereading the rules and regulations so that everything would be as perfect not only for the health department inspection but for the people of this little town she loved as well. She tells me all the blood sweat and tears put into this establishment was well worth it to be able to help her families and friends.
Crystal has many visions of what she would like to do to improve the already great establishment. She sleeps, thinks, dreams of ways to improve everyday. However she will not disclose any of these ideas to anyone as of yet. She says “you will see in due time” So come on out to this wonderful place have some wonderful food, great conversations and get your belly full and at the same time have the conscience of knowing you're helping a community grow…….
